Our clients include individuals and families that have wanted to reconnect to the landscape and our natural heritage with little or no knowledge of bushcraft skills through to experienced outdoor instructors and leaders, educational establishments, schools, colleges, clubs, adventure centres, societies, corporate clients, well known musicians, bands and international celebrities.

bushcraft educationSince 2008 we have been working in close partnership with Kent County Council supporting both in school projects, Extended Services, Study Support, Children's University, holiday workshops and also consulting in outdoor education. Over the years Badger Bushcraft has worked with many thousands of children and young people. In a four week period in 2011 we hosted school based workshops for over 700 children and young people and 2012 is already booked to set new record for us as we having a booking to run workshops for over 1,400 kids in September alone!

We have also worked on expeditions in temperate Europe and the challenging environments of Pacific Coast of the United States which included some interesting evening encounters with rattle snakes in the Mojave Desert!

Badger Bushcraft Open Day Course for SchoolsAlongside our scheduled courses we also offer the opportunity to design your perfect and totally bespoke bushcraft, survival, primitive technology or nature based course including only elements and activities that are relevant, of interest and important to you. We also offer a unique Corporate Events & Team Building "Gourmet Bushcraft" event for business clients.

Over recent years mobile bushcraft has become exceptionally popular with some of our client base as we are also kitted out and prepared to come to you, so instead of travelling to one of our farm or woodland sites near our base in the heart of Kent we can pack one of our Land Rovers and travel to your site, school or location. This has proved to be exceptionally popular and for some clients extremely cost effective. We also offer this mobile service for Bushcraft Parties.

Our website and ever expanding Badger Bushcraft Blog and News sections have a lot of information about our work as well as;

What started off as Phil's personal blog with a mainly United Kingdom based following has developed a keen global readership with regular visitors from the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Australia and Romania to name but a few!

We are passionate about what we do and how we do it with all aspects of our business embracing the philosophy that "the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little bit extra". The aim and focus of Badger Bushcraft is to tailor make unique learning experiences that are unrivalled and unforgettable, be that a morning, day or week long course.

It always amuses me, however, that whenever we do get some downtime we return to our place of work for some rest and relaxation, I suspect there are not too many folk that are so eager to get back to the “office” as we are.

  • I have recently acquired a delightful book written by Adele Nozedar and gloriously illustrated by Lizzie Harper called “The Hedgerow Handbook – Recipes, Remedies and Rituals”. This book is a splendid read for those of us with a love of botany and “The Great British Hedgerow” but I think this will appeal also to any with a love of books as a whole.
