Our recent work at Danes Hill Preprep School has been featured on the school website under the Recent News section.
We were delighted to have been contacted by Sonal Chatrath of Danes Hill Preprep School earlier in the year and asked to devise and deliver a day’s programme in the beautiful school grounds at Oxshott, Surrey.
Badger Bushcraft provided two instructors, Phil and John, who arrived early in the morning to set up well in advance of the childrens arrival.
The programme included:-
- Nature Walk
- Making Nature Inspired Models Out Of Air Drying Clay
- Tree Rubbings
- Making And Decorating “Pet Rocks”
- Measuring Trees
- Stealthy Sneaking Game
- Certificates For All Pupils
An article on the school website reports:-
“Transition spent an adventure filled day at the main site under the supervision of 2 bushcraft instructors involved in various outdoor activities. The children were occupied with making air drying clay models, rock pets, learning to identify trees around the woods and even managed to fit in some rock climbing on the adventure playground! We were blessed with a fine sunny day which was greatly appreciated during the final activity when all the children participated in a sneaking game using water pistols! A fun day was had by all and the children clearly thrived in the outdoor environment!”
